How to Deal with Oily Skin and Control Pimples

Worried about having Oily skin and pimples?

But you may not be aware of the fact that having oily skin is a great advantages such as slower the rate of aging, controls wrinkles, no need of creams, prolonged hydration, and sun damage resistance. All you need to know is how to deal with it. Later, you can see the magic by yourself.

Just follow these home remedies which helps to control oil and helps you look gorgeous. You can do any one of these procedure on daily basis or weekly thrice.

Lemon Juice

Lemon juice contains citric acid which helps lighten your skin and restore the skin’s PH balance.

  1. Lemon – 1 teaspoon
  2. Water – 2 teaspoon

Mix it and apply on skin for 10 minutes and wash your face with warm water. Lemon juice can dry out your skin, so apply some oil-free moisturizer afterward. Do this once daily.


Yogurt contains lactic acid which helps skin to absorb excess oil from face.

Apply two teaspoon of fresh yogurt thoroughly on the face and leave it on for 15 minutes. Then wash your face with cold water. Do this once daily.


Tomatoes contains astringent properties and Vitamin C which is great to get rid of acne pimples.

Take half cut tomato and cub it on your skin and leave it on for 15 minutes then wash it off with cold water

Note: You can also make a face mask by combining three tablespoons of tomato juice with one tablespoon of turmeric powder.


Cucumber contains high vitamins and minerals which is good for oily skin.

Slice cucumber and then apply it on face. You can also grind it and mix with lime juice and apply it.


Milk contains alpha hydroxy acids which helps to maintain the skin’s natural PH is a great oil-free cleanser that can make oily skin soft and supple.

  1. Gently massage your skin with milk by adding two drops any of your favorite essential oils (lavender, sandalwood etc.,) for a few minutes to improve blood circulation and then go to sleep.
  2. In the morning, wash your face with cold water.
  3. Do this daily.

Aloe Vera

Aloe vera contains antimicrobial properties that helps to treat acne-prone oily skin. Also, aloe vera can help to absorb excess oil from your skin’s surface.

Cut an aloe vera leaf in half and extract the fresh gel. Apply the gel on your face. Let it dry and then wash your face with clean water. Do this daily.
